Pomona's Choice

A woman wakes with a seed growing in her chest, transforming her into a "pomona"—part human, part fruit. As she eats fruit, she becomes more plant-like, with golden skin and leaves. A fellow pomona, Elias, teaches her to control the change, but she nearly becomes a tree. After learning Elias once surrendered to the change and survived, she chooses to embrace both her humanity and her fruit nature. She builds a community of pomonas, finds love, and learns that growth doesn't mean losing yourself.
