In her later years, Huang Guihua becomes obsessed with an emotional live-streamer, lavishing gifts and soaking up toxic advice until she demands a divorce from her husband Yang Laowu. After her children intervene, she drops the divorce talk but secretly spends heavily on the streamer’s products. When caught, a family fight erupts. Egged on by the streamer’s promises of “freedom,” she insists on buying a car for a solo road trip—despite never driving—and meeting the host in person. Unbeknownst to her, the streamer is a ruthless scammer preying on the elderly. In a clever plan orchestrated by Yang Laowu and the kids, Guihua finally sees the truth, awakens from her delusion, and returns to her loving family.
