Yunhua, an orphan of former Southern Chu, is forced to marry Great Yan’s northern God of War Chu Linyuan as a fake princess. The Yan Emperor intends an eyeliner; Chu Linyuan is vigilant. Appearing weak but wise and resolute, Yunhua secretly contacts Southern Chu loyalists. They form an alliance amid court crises, resolve misunderstandings, and build full trust. Together, they expose traitors, clear grievances, stabilize the court. After the Yan Emperor’s suicide, Chu Linyuan supports a virtuous clansman as emperor. They then retire to Jiangnan, reunite with Yunhua’s brother, have children, and live happily as Northern Liao seeks lasting peace.4
