Hunting Season

Lily heads into the forbidden Whispering Winds Forest to find her missing boyfriend Noah, rejecting the police’s claim that he was killed by a bear. Armed with a shotgun, she soon discovers a fanatical cult that worships Erebus, a giant black-scaled beast, as the forest god. She learns Noah was sacrificed by the cult, and his consciousness and deep love for her now live on within Erebus. When the cult’s high priestess Lilith unleashes Zane, a violent failed mutant who was once Noah’s comrade, Lily sacrifices herself by falling into the Black Lake with Zane to stop his bloodshed. Grief-stricken Erebus teams up with tough survivor Martha to wipe out the entire cult. In the end, Erebus stays in the forest forever, guarding Lily’s spirit, and they become a dark legend that punishes all poachers and intruders.
