Monster Swarm: I Am the Apex Predator

Cole, an ordinary human, dies accidentally and is reborn in a magical world of contract beasts. He awakens as the lowest F‑rank “waste beast” — a grass snake — and is publicly disowned by his contractor, Lyra, who forcibly dissolves their bond despite the mana backlash. Severely wounded and abandoned in the mountains behind the academy, Cole activates the Dragon Ancestor’s Devouring bloodline evolution system at death’s door. By devouring magical beasts and rare treasures, he accumulates dragon blood essence to ascend through bloodline tiers. Meanwhile, worldwide mana surges explosively, planar rifts tear open across the land, and the apocalyptic Myriad Beast Calamity — along with high‑order aberrant entities — looms. Cole hunts and evolves step by step: from a feeble grass snake to a C‑rank Phantom Serpent, then a B‑rank Storm Anaconda. He preemptively warns humanity by rescuing the support mage Mia, gains the trust of the magic academy’s higher‑ups, and forms an alliance with the human coalition. In exchange for vast quantities of monster corpses to fuel his evolution, he joins forces with mankind to fight S‑rank beast tides and planar aberrations. Ultimately, he uncovers the secret of his reincarnated identity and becomes humanity’s core ally against the coming apocalypse.
