Where the New Moon Rises

Elena, the destined fated mate of Blackwood Pack’s Alpha Damon, endures nine years of neglect and sacrifice while handling all the pack’s core work alone. Terrified of an ancient prophecy claiming bonding with Elena will ruin him, Damon publicly rejects her and shoves her down stone stairs on the pack ceremony, brutally breaking their soul bond and leaving her severely injured. After recovering, Elena abandons Blackwood and inherits leadership of the declining New Moon Pack left by her late stepfather. She rebuilds her fractured clan, defeats invading rival wolves, and gains respect as a powerful, fair Alpha. Meanwhile, scheming Tessa—Damon’s new chosen Luna—tracks Elena down and reveals the hidden prophecy behind Damon’s cruelty. Gradually, Damon drowns in guilt over his past mistakes and reaches out repeatedly to apologize. Elena stands firm in her identity as New Moon’s leader, choosing to take things slow and only consider a tentative, equal second chance instead of rushing back to the old imbalanced life she once suffered through.
