Ember Blood The Dragon's Vow

Elara, a blacksmith from the lowest ranks of society, carries the rare power of Emberblood. Ten years ago, her mother was seized by a brutal high priest and made into living fuel for the city’s protective barrier. At her engagement banquet, Elara is relentlessly humiliated by her former fiancé and her stepsister. In her moment of desperation, her bloodline awakens, and she forms a life-and-death blood pact with Kaelen, the Shadow Dragon Lord afflicted by a frost curse. She rejects the temptation of power offered by the Star Dragon Prince, gathers oppressed women from the lower classes, and builds a rebellion. Along the way, she tears down hypocritical nobles and shatters her enemies’ schemes. Kaelen willingly endures torture and sacrifices his dragon heart for her, bringing down the barrier and destroying the villains. Yet the body he leaves behind awakens into the ancient Progenitor Dragon of world-ending ruin. With the remnants of her beloved’s soul on one side and the crisis of the world’s destruction on the other, Elara, gripping the Emberblood warhammer, has no choice but to embark on an even more perilous war to slay a god.
