Breaking the Ice.

" Eight years ago, teenage sweethearts Sophie Hale and Declan Drake were torn apart by his ruthless mother Victoria, who paid Sophie off and threatened to destroy Declan’s rising hockey career if she stayed. Heartbroken, Sophie vanished, secretly gave birth to their daughter Lily, and raised her alone, working as a janitor at a local hockey rink to make ends meet. Now a world-famous hockey team captain, Declan returns to LA, still bitter over what he believes was a cruel betrayal. A fateful encounter at the rink reignites all their old tension and fiery chemistry. He hires Sophie as his personal assistant, torn between lingering resentment and long-unresolved love, convinced she left him for another man and had a child with someone else. As they work side by side, old feelings bloom again. Sophie guards the secret of Lily’s paternity, while Declan grows increasingly suspicious that nothing adds up. When he finally learns the truth, eight years of lies crumble away. Jealous rival Vanessa sabotages them relentlessly, leaking the secret to the press and even sending thugs after Sophie, only to be fully exposed and face justice. When Victoria resurfaces, her full manipulation comes to light. Devastated by the years they lost, Declan reconciles with Sophie. He proposes with the very same ring he hid eight years prior. In the end, the three of them build their long-awaited family home, finally claiming the happy ending fate once stole from them."
