Golden Wedding, Inseparable

Jiang A Fen and Lin Chang Sheng had been together for many years without any children. Sun Gui Hua, Jiang A Fen's mother-in-law, threatened to take her own life to force the two to divorce. Lin Chang Sheng had no choice but to obey his mother and divorce Jiang A Fen. Soon after, Jiang A Fen was driven out of the Lin family by Sun Gui Hua and her sister-in-law Zhao Li. Lin Chang Sheng made a promise to Jiang A Fen, telling her to live outside for the time being and that he would take her back once he had mollified his mother. When Jiang A Fen left, she had no money with her. It was Lin Ze Ping, her brother-in-law (Jiang A Fen's brother-in-law), who gave her money, allowing her to have some funds to get by. Jiang A Fen's nemesis, Niu Jian Ping (who often fought with Jiang A Fen over scrap in the neighborhood and was actually a retired senior official), saw her situation and offered to let her stay at his place temporarily. Jiang A Fen was reluctant to accept for fear of gossip. Niu Jian Ping then suggested that Jiang A Fen rent the small courtyard next to his, so that they could live without disturbing each other. With nowhere else to go, Jiang A Fen had to agree. Thus, the two began a love-hate cohabitation (in the same courtyard but not in the same house). On the other hand, Jiang A Fen's ex-husband, under his mother's coercion, took his mistress Zhong Yan into the house. To support herself, Jiang A Fen had to go out to set up a stall and look for work. Little did she know that the market she went to was managed by her first love, Ye Hai Yang. Ye Hai Yang had never forgotten Jiang A Fen and had even returned from abroad specifically to find her. The two met and recognized each other, and Niu Jian Ping and Ye Hai Yang started to compete for Jiang A Fen's attention, feeling jealous of each other. Jiang A Fen's stall did very well, which aroused the envy of Zhao Li (her sister-in-law). Zhao Li deliberately humiliated Jiang A Fen, called people to wreck her stall, and even notified the urban management. Jiang A Fen tried her best to protect her stall. Later, when Niu Jian Ping arrived, the urban management officers became very respectful to Jiang A Fen, which made her suspicious of Niu Jian Ping's identity (first plot twist). Shortly after, Ye Hai Yang appeared and stated that he was in charge of the market. Jiang A Fen mistakenly thought that it was Ye Hai Yang who had sorted everything out, so she stopped suspecting Niu Jian Ping's identity. After learning that Jiang A Fen was divorced, Ye Hai Yang wanted to pursue her, but Jiang A Fen refused him because of her ex-husband Lin Chang Sheng (Jiang A Fen didn't know that Lin Chang Sheng had lied to her, thinking they were only pretending to divorce). Then Ye Hai Yang found various reasons to compensate Jiang A Fen: he bought out all the goods at her stall (by paying people to buy things from her), had the supermarket under his management sell eggs at a 10% discount and told Jiang A Fen about it so she could rush to buy, and even held free medical check-ups and gave out health products (the kind that elderly people often go to lectures for to get prizes, but this time it was real). He showed kindness to Jiang A Fen in various ways. During this period, Lin Ze Ping, her brother-in-law, often came to help at her stall, while her ex-husband Lin Chang Sheng kept asking her for money. At the free medical check-up, Jiang A Fen and Niu Jian Ping were humiliated by Zhao Li (her sister-in-law) and Zhong Yan (the mistress) who took the lead. Ye Hai Yang was angry and wanted to stand up for her, but Jiang A Fen stopped him. Jiang A Fen's sister-in-law (Lin Chang Sheng's younger sister) took the lead in trying to drive Jiang A Fen away, even using her connection with the retired wife of the urban management bureau director to threaten Jiang A Fen. At first, Jiang A Fen stood her ground, but when the director's wife threatened to close her stall, she wanted to leave with the two old men. However, Niu Jian Ping insisted on staying. When Wang Chao, the bureau director, arrived and saw Niu Jian Ping, he was shocked to learn that his wife had insulted Niu Jian Ping. He slapped his wife and showed great respect to Niu Jian Ping (second plot twist). When Jiang A Fen felt suspicious, Niu Jian Ping said that it was just because Wang Chao (the director) was a man of good character and didn't look down on people because of their poverty. Jiang A Fen believed him. Then the host announced that Jiang A Fen had won the grand prize, and she received top-grade health products amid everyone's envious looks. Zhong Yan (the mistress) was so angry that she called Lin Chang Sheng (Jiang A Fen's ex-husband) to take the prize away. Jiang A Fen had no choice but to give the prize to Lin Chang Sheng. Niu Jian Ping noticed something unusual about Lin Chang Sheng and Zhong Yan, so he had someone investigate and found out about their affair. He also learned that Jiang A Fen had been deceived by Lin Chan…
