Disciplined for Three Years, I Learned to Obey

Episode 1 / 41GoodShort2.5K

"Claire Sterling was once the eldest daughter of the wealthy Sterling family in New York. On her wedding day, her brother Ethan brought home a woman named Lydia, who claimed to be their long-lost sister. Ethan turned Claire’s wedding into a welcome party for Lydia. He also allowed Lydia to take Claire’s clothes, her place in the family, and even her fiancé. Claire was sent to a remote town for three years to be “taught a lesson.” By the time Ethan brought her home, years of abuse had left her with terminal stomach cancer. She had only seven days left to live. After returning to the Sterling family, Claire continued to suffer humiliation from Ethan, her former fiancé Alexander, and Lydia. The wedding gown her mother had left her was torn apart. Her mother’s grave was dug up, and Claire was forced to swallow some of her mother’s ashes. On Lydia’s wedding day, Lydia had Claire taken to an abandoned warehouse, where she was brutally beaten and left behind. Close to death, Claire dragged herself to the cemetery. She wanted to be buried beside her mother. However, Elliot Hayes, a childhood friend, found her and saved her. When Claire’s terminal diagnosis appeared at the wedding, Ethan and Alexander finally realized that Lydia had deceived them all along. They desperately investigated the truth and punished those responsible, but they could never regain Claire’s trust. Far away at a seaside care center, Claire began receiving treatment with Elliot by her side. She slowly learned to look forward to tomorrow again and started a new life with someone who truly valued her."
