York Lee, the Crown Prince of Great Lyvaron, abandoned his imperial inheritance for true love and lived an ordinary life among the people. When the old emperor was critically ill, General Snow Camp personally came to escort York Lee back to the throne-only to be refused. Meanwhile, Link Howard, the childhood sweetheart of York Lee's wife–Pearl Shawn–had become a eunuch and entangled himself with her. York Lee's daughter–Lily Shawn–also sought to leverage Link Howard's influence to marry the current top scholar. Only later did Pearl Shawn and Lily Shawn realize that the one who had always loved them most was York Lee, who had stayed by their side all along.
