The Mafia Boss's Daughter Smiled for Me* is a 50-episode series. It tells the story of Emma, a veterinarian in Brooklyn, who saves Buddy, the search-and-rescue dog belonging to mafia boss Alexander. Alexander’s late wife Maria died in an explosion three years ago.
Their daughter Lily suffered severe trauma and stopped speaking for a long time, and only Buddy could soothe her. Unafraid of Alexander’s intimidating aura, Emma heals Lily with her tenderness and gradually melts the cold, lifeless atmosphere of the Russo Manor.
As they spend time together,the two grow fond of each other. Emma later discovers that Vincent, Alexander’s right-hand man, is the real culprit behind Maria’s death, who destroyed crucial evidence to cover up his crimes.
