Isabella, the daughter of a maid, was forced to accept a marriage proposal from the wealthy heir Matteo to cover her mother's surgery fees. However, she caught him having an affair with her best friend, and the pair even threatened to withhold the medical expenses against her. In despair, she went to an auction to sell herself to raise money. The mysterious man Damian bought her at a high price yet did her no harm and paid for the surgery in full. She later learned that he was the powerful patriarch of the family and Matteo's uncle. Faced with the harassment and coercion from others, Isabella rose up to resist. She eventually transformed into a capable individual who could stand side‑by‑side with Damian.
