In 1839 steampunk London, Lilyan disguises herself as a man to vote, only to be arrested. Hired by mysterious tycoon Ambrose, she becomes his secretary and uncovers his secret plan: using an ancient steam core to free enslaved spirits and women. When her sister—a hidden spirit—is targeted for sacrifice, Lilyan joins the “Fog Liberation Alliance.” Storming the Elder fortress, she shatters the enslaving rune machine. Finally, without disguise, she declares voting rights, work equality, and freedom from blood-based chains. A new dawn breaks over the Thames.
