In the post-apocalyptic wasteland, Emily ventures alone to an isolated island base to rescue her elder brother, only to become a "test subject" for military doctor James due to her unique blood. Trapped in cold confinement, the two grow drawn to each other amid constant tension and conflict.
However, high-ranking officials of the Alliance covet her rare bloodline and move to eliminate her. James abandons his faction without hesitation, fighting tooth and nail to shield Emily and her brother amid hordes of zombies and brutal crossfire. He blows up the corrupt base, and the pair flee the danger together aboard an aircraft.
