Workplace Power imbalance Tangled romance

"Aurora works as an ordinary planner at an advertising agency. After three years of grinding away at her job, she has just been promoted to Project Supervisor. She thought her life was finally on the right track—until the day the company announced the arrival of their new Creative Director. The conference room door swung open, and the man who stepped inside nearly made her drop her coffee mug. It was Nathan Hale, the man who vanished from her life on a rainy night five years prior. Back then, they were college sweethearts. He came from a wealthy aristocratic family, while she was an average student relying entirely on scholarships to get through university. On the eve of graduation, his family arranged a politically advantageous marriage with a debutante of equal social standing. He stood outside her apartment building all night long, and at dawn left a check large enough to pay off every cent of her student loans, along with a note that read: “We don’t belong to the same world. Forget me.” Aurora never cashed that check. She paid off her loans through her own hard work, climbing her way up from intern to where she stands today."
