Chloe, an amnesiac mixed-blood vampire, is taken in by Drake, the alpha werewolf who goes by the alias Jax and lies that he is her husband. At an influencer convention, Chloe is falsely accused of using counterfeit goods, and Drake steps in to clear her name, revealing his true identity; he later refuses a political marriage with humans to protect Chloe and faces severe punishment from the werewolf clan. At the Three Races Unity Summit, Chloe stuns everyone with her brilliant talent, and Elena pressures her into regaining her lost memories, through which she learns that she and Drake were once bitter enemies. Chloe is abducted by Miles, and Drake teams up with Kyle, the vampire deputy commander, to rescue her, nearly bleeding to death in the process. Torn after realizing Drake’s genuine love for her, Chloe uncovers the plot hatched by Smith and Miles to stir up conflict among the three races, bringing peace between them. Drake volunteers to stay by Chloe’s side as a hostage, yet suffers grave injuries shielding her from Miles; he then proposes to her sincerely, all misunderstandings between them are resolved, and the two build a joyful life together while ushering in harmonious coexistence for vampires, werewolves and humans.
