Brilliant architect Aria returns to China with her hacker prodigy son Leo to take up a new post, where she crosses paths again with Wall Street tycoon Ethan. As the truth behind the incident from five years ago gradually comes to light, Ethan confirms his paternity and embarks on a mission to win Aria back—subjecting himself to their son's "father qualification test" along the way. Together, mother and son take down the antagonists, win over the stubborn old-guard financiers, while Ethan transforms from a cold-blooded tyrant into a tender protector. After overcoming numerous trials, the two finally reunite, and the family of three finds their happily-ever-after.
