During a plane crash in the desert, Rayne is betrayed by his girlfriend Emily and swallowed by a nine-tailed venomous scorpion, only to be reborn with the awakened power of touch precognition.
He seizes an abandoned Cold War bunker and rescues flight attendant Sophia and doctor Isabella. Ignoring Rayne’s warnings, the other survivors draw the Scorpion King, who massacres the entire camp. Emily teams up with thug Victor to storm the bunker, yet both end up devoured by swarms of scorpions.
After Rayne slays the Scorpion King, the rotor vibrations of a military rescue helicopter rouse an even larger queen scorpion. Following a brutal life-or-death battle, Rayne destroys the queen scorpion, extracts its biological core to craft an evolution serum, and foresees that monsters have overrun the entire globe—the real hunt has only just begun.
