Gwen is rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-section. As doctors prepare to administer anesthesia, she panics and calls her husband Mark—but he ignores her. Her mother-in-law answers the second call, dismissing Gwen’s pleas, saying she’s busy at a charity concert raising funds for Mark’s high school sweetheart, Jana. When Mark finally picks up, he coldly says, “Handle it yourself,” and hangs up as blood streams down her legs.
