Maya, a rejected DEA agent, goes undercover to get close to Ethan, a gang leader, in order to prove herself. A mysterious medal belonging to Maya’s mother and a thunderstorm trigger an unexpected soul swap between the two. The polar-opposite pair are forced to rely on each other; they must impersonate one another, resolve internal gang conflicts and traitorous plots, while unraveling the mystery behind their swapped souls. As they spend time together, a bond forms between them, and they develop emotional synesthesia, redeeming and protecting each other mutually. In the end, they join forces to take down the drug trafficking ring and root out the gang’s traitors. Ethan cleans up his family’s criminal business, and the two cross the divide between law and crime to stay together.
