The story takes place in modern-day New York City, covering high-end business districts, ordinary workplaces, and the slow life of a southern small town. The heroine, Clara, is the chief secretary to Zane, the president of CH Group, and they've also maintained a 'friends with benefits' relationship for five years. The hero, Zane, is the power-holder of CH Group, born into a wealthy family, used to measuring everything in terms of benefit, and is both cold-hearted and obsessive. The second male lead, Teddy, is a surgeon, Clara's elementary school classmate and a matchmaking prospect. He's sunny and gentle, serving as Clara's redemption as she comes out of the shadows.
