"The elite training camp AXE launches its ace training program. Laila and Avery, the camp’s top two trainees torn apart by a mission three years prior, are forced to be permanent partners. Convinced Laila abandoned their teammate back then, Avery clashes with her relentlessly during sparring, shooting drills and shared dorm life. Though they bicker constantly, they instinctively protect each other amid dangerous wilderness and ambush simulations. When falling rocks strike, Laila shields Avery and gets injured. Avery stays to tend her wounds despite her harsh words, sparking campus gossip about their complicated bond. Late-night combat footage dredges up old memories. They talk at dawn: Laila reveals she left supplies and lured enemies away instead of deserting their teammate. Still unable to let go of her resentment, Avery leaves alone, leaving their tangled love-hate rift unresolved."
