Widow's Prison Princess centers on Selena Vex, the neglected daughter of General Vex, who flees an unwanted political marriage and stumbles into Mistveil Valley, a settlement of widows whose husbands were conscripted and killed by Selena’s father. The valley’s cold, aloof lord Isolde Vance, a grieving widow, recognizes Selena’s family crest and locks her up as retribution. Though hatred lingers between them, Isolde cannot stop secretly shielding Selena from the valley women’s cruel torment—saving her from drowning, poison, snakes and deadly traps. Drawn to each other against all odds, the two women struggle with blood feuds, public condemnation and inner guilt. After facing group accusations, lethal pursuit and life-threatening injuries, Isolde abandons her position as valley lord to escape with Selena. They build a quiet life in a remote cabin, finally breaking free from their painful pasts and confessing their sincere love under the sunset.
