Evelyn Rosethorne once saved Vampire King Lucian Draven from a burning church with her rare purifying blood, only to watch her half-sister Serena steal the credit. Believing Serena to be his savior, Lucian binds Evelyn as a decoy Blood Queen and repeatedly sacrifices her safety to protect the wrong woman.
