Lieu de travail Guerre commerciale Déséquilibre de pouvoir

The female lead Claire Bennett is the founder and CEO of an emerging beauty tech company. Young, beautiful and assertive, she is hailed by the media as the "self-made queen". But no one knows that behind Claire's company going from the brink of bankruptcy to being ready for an IPO, there has always been a silent man paving the way for her. This man is her husband, Evan Cole. Five years ago, Claire suffered a business failure, was humiliated by investors, and her mother fell seriously ill. Evan married her when she was at her lowest ebb. He never claims credit for himself, never shows up at press conferences, never interferes in her management, and only helps her solve problems related to financing, patents, supply chains and attacks from competitors in places unseen by her. Claire thought she had won everything on her own merits. She also began to look down more and more on her husband, who made breakfast for her at home every day, helped her organize documents, dressed plainly and avoided social occasions. Instigated by her stepmother Diana, her romantic partner-cum-collaborator Ryan, and her close friend Vanessa, Claire finally decided to file for divorce. Before the company's listing celebration banquet, she pushed the divorce agreement to Evan in public: “You were never my partner. You were my burden.” You were never my partner; you were nothing but a burden to me. Evan didn't offer any explanation. He just signed the document, turned around and left.
