Worse, Queen V poisons her unborn golden eggs, and Mark’s body holds the only antidote—Callie must devour him to save her babies. Teaming up with betrayed mantis females Mia and Cassie, she uncovers V’s plot to breed a soldier army. After defeating the tyrant queen, Callie fulfills her cruel maternal duty, rids the world of V’s evil regime, and builds a safe new homeland for her children and all victimized mantises.
