Investigative reporter Maya infiltrates the Sterling Group posing as a cleaner to clear her father's name in a false accounting injustice from ten years prior, using old bills to force the ruthless CEO Julian into signing a fiancee contract with her. She leverages top-level access to trace the original evidence, only to be repeatedly humiliated, kidnapped and framed by the vice president Chloe and the powerful matriarch Eleanor. A moment of their act turning into genuine affection leaves Maya pregnant, and sends the power struggle between the two spiraling out of control. After their falling out, Maya tracks down the safe in the old family mansion alone, retrieves her father's blood-stained diary and the original recording, and publicly reveals the evidence at the globally broadcast engagement banquet, leading to the formal dismissal of her father's case. She refuses to rely on Julian and founds an investigative and asset recovery firm. After she gives birth, the escaped convict Chloe launches a final revenge attack with sulfuric acid, and Julian takes the fatal blow to shield mother and child. After Julian recovers, Maya becomes the largest single shareholder of the group thanks to shares from the wrongful conviction compensation and performance shares from recovered assets. The old contract is torn to pieces, and the once-humiliated "cleaner" ultimately takes the seat of the board chairperson.
