A supermarket cashier abandoned by her husband and hounded for debts by her uncle discovers an ancient oil lamp in her father’s warehouse.
When its flame ignites, it opens a gateway to a border battlefield in another world.
She teaches the prince, whose kingdom teeters on the brink of ruin, how to rally an army using fever medicine, fire extinguishers and invoices.
In the end, she steps through the lamp and becomes his queen.
