Médico Vida urbana Desequilíbrio de poder

Leila West, the youngest chief of cardiothoracic surgery at St. Jude Hospital, receives a tip from scrub nurse Jennifer: a patient died under mysterious circumstances after a valve replacement surgery performed by her husband Daniel, associate director of the same department, and a hemostat went missing during the operation, suspected to have been deliberately concealed. Braving the dual strains of her marriage and professional duty, Leila retrieves surveillance footage to secure evidence and exposes the truth at a hospital board meeting. Daniel consequently has his medical license permanently revoked for falsifying medical records and causing a fatal medical malpractice incident. Afterwards, Leila spearheads operating room transparency reforms and advocates for relevant legislation, upholding the bottom line of life and truth with her original commitment as a physician.
