Set in a magical jungle filled with beastfolk, the story centers on Bruce, a fierce tiger lord infected with a debilitating blight poison that brings constant agony. By chance, he finds Zig, a helpless human infant whose touch can calm his curse. Accompanied by quick-witted raccoon Rico and elegant winged Celine, the trio embarks on a dangerous trek to Sunflower Falls for the only cure. Along the journey, they face vicious rivals like snake Victor and hyena Falco, cross deadly marshes and bone valleys. Cold and brutal at first, Bruce gradually grows into a devoted father to Zig. Though Zig later discovers his human roots and meets his human kin, he chooses the beast family that raised them. Boundless warmth and loyalty tie this bloodless family together through countless life-or-death hardships.
