Clerk Clara is falsely accused of stealing a check by coworker Madison, who stole Clara’s personal items and edited videos to slander her at work. Clara gathers evidence and finds out the extortion plot is masterminded by Madison’s debt-ridden husband Ryan and an ex-con. They exploit Madison’s unmedicated delusions and fabricate a fake check to target Clara. With her lawyer Lucas’s help, Clara cooperates with the police to arrest all culprits and clear her name. Madison gets psychiatric treatment while the perpetrators face legal punishment, and Clara learns to set clear personal boundaries.
