A heiress-in-name was exposed at a banquet as a maid's illegitimate child—the maid had swapped babies years ago, making a servant the true heir. He saved her on condition she become his maid. They harbored secret feelings for years. The family arranged his marriage to a rich heiress for business, but he proposed to the maid instead. Soon her real identity was revealed again: she was actually that rich heiress. They married, and agreed to fairly compete for inheritance. Jealous, the rival heiress and her mother framed the maid and poisoned her father. While saving him, she fell into danger; he rescued her at the cost of his own life and fell into a coma. She stayed by him, confessed her pregnancy, and recalled how he had saved her in youth. He woke, the villains were caught, and they reconciled for a happy ending.
