Tavi, a small pink snake, uses fake female mating scent to survive winter by latching onto Soren, a much larger king cobra. Soren sees through the disguise immediately but pretends not to, bringing the little snake home. Tavi thinks he is a “wife,” dutifully warming the bed and staying close, unaware he has been exposed. After being photographed together, they are forced into a public relationship contract, and Tavi genuinely falls for Soren. When Tavi finally confesses he is male and tries to leave, Soren simply pulls him back and says he has known all along. They confirm their relationship, and Tavi stops running—no matter how cold winter gets, he has a home.
