Accidental Affairs

Episode 1 / 16ReelShort

A thrilling trip through Darwin‑Award‑style accidents, CSI‑parody investigations, and the off‑kilter world of Accidental Affairs, created by Tom Konkle and David Beeler—a surreal, vertical series that blends Adult Swim-esque absurdity with CSI tropes. The story of a so-called elite team that investigates work‑place accidents and safety violations… but accidentally makes everything far worse. Directed by Tom Konkle. Written and created by Konkle and Beeler. Each case on the show parodies recognizable CSI tropes—investigation boards, VFX reconstructions—except the investigators are monstrosities of incompetence who amplify the chaos. Perfectly aligned with vertical comedy series tone—snappy, absurd, visually bold, formatted for mobile audiences.*This entry is participating in the ReelShort Reel Vertical Impact contest
