Family Drama Girl Power

When Maya Sterling's husband Leo dies at the construction site, he leaves a $2 million death benefit. Seeking comfort from her family, Maya faces abuse from her mother and brothers, who favor boys over girls. Labeling her a jinx, they demand her only home. Leo's boss, Victor Hawthorne, intervenes, suggesting she fake leukemia to test their loyalty. Their true greed surfaces. Heartbroken, Maya reclaims her money and cuts ties completely. Her brothers soon fall into gambling debts, their wives flee, and her mother becomes paralyzed from stress. Maya embraces a new life, leaving her family to regret their cruelty.
