Her Majesty the Queen Is From Northeast China

Episode 1 / 50SodaReels

Liu Daya, a timid ancient woman, was forced by her gambler husband and wicked mother-in-law to serve a concubine during her postpartum period because she was infertile. After refusing the humiliation, she was drugged and sold, dying by drowning as she fled in panic. A tough, "leftover" woman from the modern Northeast transmigrated into her body. Under the influence of an aphrodisiac, she accidentally stumbled into the carriage of Emperor Xiao Wence, who was traveling incognito. Her wild and straightforward demeanor left an indelible mark on the young emperor. Three years later, Liu Daya was running a stall in the capital with a pair of twins, making her business thrive using modern marketing tactics. When her ex-husband and ex-mother-in-law came to extort money, Xiao Wence, who was looking for a "stand-in family" to satisfy the Empress Dowager’s pressure to marry and bear heirs, used his wit to save them. Not recognizing her, he invited her into the palace to pose as his wife and children to stabilize his rule. After entering the palace, the mother and children won the Empress Dowager's favor with their Northeast-style frankness and repeatedly humiliated the ambitious family of the powerful minister Xiao Liecang. A blood-dripping test accidentally showed a match. Xiao Liecang, refusing to give up, used the authority of the Western Region's Xuanyuan Pavilion's secret bloodline technique to verify the lineage. At the enthronement ceremony, the trio's true nature was set to be exposed, but the Emperor and Empress Dowager cleverly defused the situation by promoting the Northeast dialect. Convinced that Liu Daya's son was not of royal blood, Xiao Liecang firmly presented the secret results, leaving the Empress Dowager shocked on the spot.
