After Aunt Raised Rent, The Whole Street Flocked to My Dad’s Noodle Stall

EP 1 · SodaReels

Shen Zhengtao has run an affordable noodle restaurant for years, earning a sterling reputation through his superb cooking and honest business practices. His younger sister Du Minglan, persuaded by her husband, suddenly raised the rent in disregard of their prior verbal agreement. Shen Yizhou, Shen Zhengtao’s son, insisted they would not give in. The father and son initially clashed, but later stood side by side. They gathered evidence and searched for a new storefront. Du Minglan resorted to cutting the power, changing the locks and bringing prospective tenants to view the shop, escalating their conflicts steadily. Eventually, the Shen family decided to move gracefully to a new venue on Yuquan Road. Watching all regular customers follow her brother to the new shop, Du Minglan woke up to her mistake and apologized, refusing to comply with her husband’s continued pressure. When the new restaurant opened, the old shop sign hung at the entrance. The father personally cooked a bowl of noodles for his son. The story concludes with a lesson: family bonds need warmth, yet also clear boundaries. Craftsmanship and integrity are the true foundation of any shop. Show more
